My name is J.C. Aguayo. I am a self-taught portrait artist and painter who specializes in charcoal and pastel pencil portraits of adults, celebrities, children, and families, as well as scenic paintings.
I was born and raised in the region of Caguas, Puerto Rico, located in the central mountain range south of San Juan. With over 15 years of experience, I accept commissions from clients, both corporate and private to create timeless and elegant custom art work. I work in diverse media such as charcoal, pastel, acrylic and oil.
My portfolio demonstrate my versatility, and strength in rendering the human face and landscapes. I work from photographs and live sceneries.
I am a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. I am inspired by the wonders of God, and my Puerto Rican culture and latin heritage. I live in Southington, Connecticut.
